videography? photography?

so i am completely into making videos & doing photography. its something i would do even with out pay. i realized that's exactly how i need to feel with my future career of choice. i would absolutely love it if i had the chance to go into something like that..but how? does anyone have any suggestions of certain majors? or classes? or even books to read? i just want to become better. i feel like photography is one of the few things i am actually good at it. any one have any advice?

  1. i'm a film crew and my major in college was communication and journalism. if you want to take it seriously (by going to school) take film school and enroll to cinematography major if you want to focus on camera and be a director of photography. or if you want to do more with media, enroll to communication department. you can go to broadcasting major that's focus on tv production. but if you want to take other major, simply look out to the student organizations in your college. usually there is film group, photography group, etc. the thing about videography is, before you go to video camera they will teach you photography first, because that's the basic of videography. so if you go for videography class, you get photography as well.

  3. You could look into things like photo journalism, or even something a long the mass media lines of things. My suggestion is once you get to college take all the photo and film making classes you can from there you'll figure out which way you want to take your career. :)
